alert: century buick-pontiac gmc]
designed for
the american family
As a parent, it’s easy to
recount disastrous outings with the kids: the bank
errand that left my child and I covered in ink from an
errant pen, the portrait session that left me in tears
and my child running down the concourse of the mall. I
could go on and on, we all could, but the point is that
when businesses neglect to consider a family’s needs in
their design, we all suffer.
That is why Baby News Bits loves to report on those
businesses that get it; they care enough to think about
us and research our needs. And who does BNB love right
now? Century Buick-Pontiac-GMC. I know what you’re
thinking—how could an auto dealership understand my
family enough to anticipate our needs? The proof is in
the design.
Century Buick-Pontiac-GMC’s large facility is a product
of understanding you, your kids, and your husband: The
American Family. Imagine taking your car to get
serviced (don’t own a GMC? No problem, they service all
makes and models) and actually enjoying your wait time.
Watch a movie in their plush 14 seat movie theatre.
Need to squeeze in a workout? Hop on the elliptical in
their state-of-the-art gym complete with cardio and
weight machines, heavy bag, flat screen TV, lockers and
shower. Bringing the kids with you? Good, because
Century is ready for them. Have some fun in their
family waiting area, a room especially designed with
kids in mind: Soft floor padding, puzzles, games and
books, TV tuned to Disney, even an entire wall of the
room covered with a chalkboard writing surface! Their
café area is equally impressive with vending machines,
including the “fresh vendor” a machine with fresh
options like sandwiches, fruit and juices.
Complimentary Starbuck’s coffee (and this thing even
makes lattes), tables and chairs, and separate cubicles
wired for internet access by laptop round out the café.
They even provide a computer, free of charge, in one of
their cubicles. Enjoy complimentary wireless internet
service for your personal laptop throughout the
dealership
Century Buick-Pontiac-GMC’s accommodations are grand,
but their attention to details is equally impressive:
seats made out of actual seatbelts, real movie house
lighting fixtures in the theatre (taken and refurbished
from the original movie theatre which used to be here),
prompt movie show times, towels in the locker room
(separate mens and womens), updated reading material,
and immaculate facilities all around (the car service
area is spotless too, no joke).
Like many wonderful places, seeing is believing. The
perfect opportunity is Tuesday, November 18th
from 9:00-1:00 when Century is having a
re-introduction of their amazing facilities built last
year. In addition to the features they already offer,
there will be a bounce house, face painting, balloon
artist, free food & drinks and more! Gather a group
of moms and come out for a fantastic free activity for
the tots. Tuesday, November 18th will also kick-off a
new weekly special, Kid’s Day at Century: every Tuesday
and Wednesday will be days dedicated to families which
will include a %10 discount off any service, balloons
for the kids, extra food, goodies, expedited service,
complimentary car wash & vacuum and more. With
Century’s central Tampa Bay location on Hillsborough
directly off of Dale Mabry Highway and two minutes from
275, it’s a quick, fun way to get a necessary chore
done! Check out their website at
www.centuryautomotive.net for driving directions, hours
of operations, vehicle and financing options (they
guarantee financing for every customer) and services
offered.
